Volunteering

How do I become a volunteer?

Without our dedicated volunteer team the Contact Centre would not be able to run. Volunteers come with a wide variety of skills and knowledge and are key to the ongoing development of the charity.

We have two teams, and volunteers come once a month from 9:00am - 1.30pm. Volunteers help with preparing the centre, welcoming in families and ensuring the session runs smoothly.

All volunteers receive an induction and training programme, including safeguarding training which is delivered annually in line with our NACCC accreditation requirements.

If you are interested in volunteering with us please complete the volunteer application form and return via email or post.

Volunteer Testimonial

“I have been a volunteer at the Child Contact Centre in Chichester for the past three and a half years and I have very much enjoyed my experience there. It is rewarding to know that my few hours of help each month have enabled children to maintain their relationships with their non-resident parents in a safe, nurturing environment. Toys and activities are provided which help facilitate interaction with one another. It is especially heart-warming to see the growth in many of these relationships when a child might start these visits hesitant and teary but over time, comes in confidently and eagerly. Even more rewarding is seeing a family move on so that they are now able to meet on their own without supervision. Those are the real success stories!”
